SUMMARY:Welding for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:Over the 60 hours (3hrs per 5 days for 4 Wks.) of training\, you will gain a basic understanding of MIG/TIG/Stick welding\, including grinding\, torch techniques and practical experience. This course is suitable for beginners\, or those who already have a level of welding skill. Our trainers have years of experience as Boilermaker / Welders\, Welding Inspectors or Welding Supervisors. \nTime: Weekly\, Monday to Friday\, 9:30am – 12:30 PM or 3:30pm – 6:30pm for 4 Weeks \n***Full course for Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade : 6 months are required / the certificate fee is exclusive) \nLearning outcomes\nDuring this course you will learn to: \n\nPerform thermal cutting using oxy-acetylene equipment\nPerform basic welding {MIG / TIG / Stick}\nSkills to perform basic trades at a workshop\n\nCourse Outcome\nAlthough this course is NOT nationally recognised and cannot be used for credit transfer\, it has a potential pathway for you to continue further study in the welding industry and to obtain ISO AS/NZS 9606 Welder qualification / certification III in Engineering Fabrication Trade. \nEntry requirements\n\nThere are no entry or skills requirements for this course\nstudents must be a minimum of 18 years old\nStudents must be registered as a student member of EMH Industries\n\nPersonal requirements\nPersonal protective equipment (PPE) including one-piece cotton drill overalls or cotton drill trousers\, a cotton long sleeve shirt (no nylon)\, steel-capped boots\, long leather gloves\, oxy goggles\, Auto-Darkening Helmet or basic welding Helmet with No. 10 Lens\, safety glasses and earmuffs/earplugs. All PPE must be suitable for welding. \nCourse fee\n$3500 per 4 weeks (3 days with a welding trainer and 2 days with a self-practice per week). \n6 months full courses are required for Certificate III. Monthly basis class are charged per month if you want to finish all 6 months courses
